Pastor Kyle Ashley

The current Pastor at the Weirton United Methodist Charge is Pastor Kyle Ashley. He is a Weirton native and has strong ties to all three of the churches in the Weirton Charge, as well as the community at large. For the past 28 years, Pastor Kyle has been married to his lovely wife Bridget. Together, they share two grown children, their son Daniel who lives in Los Angeles, CA, and their daughter Brianna who lives in Elkwood, VA with her two children – Jack (5) and Winter (2).

Pastor Kyle is a 1990 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit College (Wheeling University) with a degree in marketing and a minor in business administration. Putting his degree into use, he worked for 32 years in the automotive repair industry performing various sales and managerial duties before entering the ministry.

Becoming a member of the United Methodist Church in 2015, Pastor Kyle has served the Weirton Charge as a Trustee, an Administrative Council Committee Member, a Local Church Lay Servant, and a Certified Lay Servant. It was in his capacity as a Lay Servant that Pastor Kyle felt the call to ministry. He began his ministerial studies at the Lay Servant Academy in Moundsville, WV. In 2022, he was nominated by the West Virginia Annual Conference to attend the Pastoral Ministry Licensing School. Pastor Kyle completed this stage of his studies in April 2023 when he was awarded the title of Licensed Local Pastor. He was then appointed to the Weirton United Methodist Charge in July 2024 where he serves three churches and continues his ministerial studies.
